Should the catch (2) fail to open, both the drive unit (1) and the components it loads (3,4,5) are blocked and an error signal and/or error warning are sent on for evaluation. The drive unit applies load to a cam system (5) including a positioner cam (8) and a cam to operate the trip lever. The positioner (8) consists of an on-off switch tripped by cam contour (5a) only when the catch (2) is fully opened, the switch otherwise blocked off. When the catch (2) registers open, the position switch (8) cuts in the drive (1). If the catch is incompletely open the drive cuts out after a pre-set interval.
