PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation image conversion panel which is excellent both in the uniformity of an activator and high intensity and high sharpness, and a method for manufacturing the radiation image conversion panel. SOLUTION: The radiation image conversion panel which has stimulable phosphor layers on a support is characterized in that at least one of the stimulable phosphor layers is formed by a vapor phase method (a vapor phase deposition method) so that its film thickness will be 50μm to 1 mm and is evaporated under the condition where the difference between the temperature at the start of heat absorption and that at the end of heat absorption is 14°C or lower and rare-earth compounds are uniformly contained inside the layer where host crystals of phosphors are formed.
