PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-chimney fire brick removing device capable of safely and inexpensively conducting demolishing work of an a lining wall of a chimney. SOLUTION: This in-chimney fire brick removing device comprises a plurality of L-shaped arms 12 having a wedge-shaped tip end portions 12a, and an arm supporting member 14 supporting base end portions of these L-shaped arms 12 while these L-shaped arms 12 are radially arranged. The wedge-shaped tip end portion 12a of each L-shaped arm 12 is inserted from an upper side into a clearance between a chimney main body 102 and the lining wall 104 and made to abut on an upper end portion of the lining wall 104. Thereby, a fire brick 106 falls down from an upper part of the lining wall 104 by using the weight of the fire brick removing device 10 and reaction force from the chimney main body 102. Therefore, the lining wall 104 can be demolished by a simple device structure without requiring a driving source. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
