<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body structure for an electric guitar which has the front side of a main body easily finished and has a high joining strength and improves performability in a high position and has the main body and a neck main body prevented from being dirtied by an adhesive when joined by the adhesive. <P>SOLUTION: A fitting groove 30 is formed in the rear side of a main body 21 throughout in the lengthwise direction, and a groove 31 as an adhesive reservoir is formed in the peripheral edge part of the inside bottom of the fitting groove 30.
