PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method for a silver halide photographic sensitive material by which suppressed crystallization of a developer and excellent running stability are ensured under any environmental conditions and any service conditions. SOLUTION: In the processing method for a silver halide photographic sensitive material in which a silver halide photographic sensitive material having at least one silver halide photographic emulsion layer on a support is processed with a developing solution, a fixing solution and washing water using an automatic processing machine, at least one of the developing solution and the fixing solution does not substantially contain a boron compound and the developing solution contains 5-10 g/l at least one compound selected from dextrans and dextrins.
