SOLUTION: The polarized wave compositing module 1 is provided with a supporting body 3, an optical system including optical components 6 and 7, an adhesive hardened material layer which exists between at least one of the optical components 6 and 7 and the supporting body 3 and fixes the optical component to the supporting body 3. The polarized wave synthesizing module 1 is characterized by the fact that the Young's modulus ES of the supporting body 3, the linear expansion coefficientαS of the supporting body 3, the linear expansion coefficientα<SB>0</SB>(°C<SP>-1</SP>) of the optical component which is fixed to the supporting body 3 with the adhesive hardened material layer, the linear expansion coefficientαA(°C<SP>-1</SP>) of the adhesive hardened material layer, the Young's modulus EA (Pa) of the adhesive hardened material layer at a temperature not higher than the transition temperature T<SB>g</SB>(°C<SP>-1</SP>) of the adhesive hardened material layer into glass, and the temperature differenceΔT(°C) which is smaller than either one of the temperature difference of T<SB>g</SB>and -40°C or the temperature difference of the hardened temperature of a thermosetting type adhesive which is the material of the adhesive hardened material layer and -40°C satisfy the inequality: [|α<SB>0</SB>-αS|×ΔT×ES]×|αA-α<SB>0</SB>|×(EA/ES)≤180.
