PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detecting device capable of easily confirming the direction of a fluid flowing through a pipeline from the outside. SOLUTION: A flow follower 11 of a detecting device 10 is arranged inside a pipe 1, and an embedded plate 14 of a displaying part 13 provided outside the pipe and the flow follower 11 are connected integrally by a turning rod 12. When the flow follower 11 changes direction to follow the flow inside the pipe, the embedded plate 14 turns accordingly with the changing. A case 16 and an external pipe 15 circumferentially enclose the embedded plate 14 and the turning rod 12 and into the gap therebetween the fluid inside the pipe is made to flow to support the embedded plate 14 and the turning rod 12 in fluid. By making the embedded plate 14 into a magnet, the direction of the embedded plate 14 can be known from outside with a separate magnetic needle device 17. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
