PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the leakage of a system for suppressing the exhaust of vaporizing gas from a fuel tank. SOLUTION: A pressure responsive relief valve 38 is arranged on the upstream side of an electric operated flow control valve 50 for tank vaporizing gas pipelines 34, 48, 52 to an engine inlet manifold 54. The pressure responsive relief valve 38 has a bleed orifice 42 for providing a limited flow during closing the valve in order to execute leakage test and is opened at a selected differential pressure for providing a sufficient flow rate during operating an engine to purify an vaporizing gas canister 22. A differential pressure sensor 60 is used for reading pressure drop traversing the bleed orifice 42 during executing the leakage test, determining the flow rate thereof from a look-up table, comparing it with a threshold value and determining whether the system leaks or not.
