摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust pipe confluent part structure of the exhaust system of an in-line multi-cylinder engine capable of sinking the noise generated in a confluent part where the exhaust gas from a plurality of front tubes having various lengths in the exhaust system of the engine converges in one passage. SOLUTION: The exhaust system of the in-line six-cylinder engine is configured so that lengths from two exhaust manifolds 1 and 2 to the tails of the front tubes 3 and 4 are made unequal, includes a rendezvous 5 where the front tubes 3 and 4 converge at their tails to one passage, in which one center tube 6 is connected with a converging pipe 53 of the rendezvous 5, wherein a diametrically contracted part 8 having a passage section area narrower than the passage section area of ordinary parts of the front tubes 3 and 4 is formed at the tails of the front tubes 3 and 4 located upstream of the converging pipe 53, while a slope 9 is formed upstream of the contracted part 8 for narrowing gradually to the passage section area of the contracted part 8.
