PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition having excellent thermal aging resistance, anti-setting and fatigue fracture resistance. SOLUTION: This rubber composition for use in a rim cushion is manufactured by compounding 100 pts.wt. of a rubber component that is composed of 10-90 pts.wt. of a natural rubber and/or polyisoprene rubber and 90-10 pts.wt. of a polybutadiene rubber, 50-90 pts.wt. of carbon black and 0.5-5.0 pts.wt. of a polysulfide that is represented by the formula: R<SP>2</SP>S<SB>y</SB>R<SP>1</SP>(S<SB>x</SB>R<SP>1</SP>)<SB>n</SB>S<SB>y</SB>R<SP>2</SP>(wherein R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>, x, y and n are prescribed in this specification) and has a number average molecular weight of 200-15,000).
