PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an organic silicon compound having an epoxy group in a high yield and high productivity. SOLUTION: In this method for manufacturing the organic silicon compound containing the epoxy group, an organic compound (A) having an aliphatic unsaturated group and an organic group containing an epoxy group and an organic silicon compound (B) having a hydrosilyl group are hydrosililated by using a platinum catalyst (D) in the presence of a hydro(acyloxy)silane represented by the formula (C): H-Si(R)<SB>n</SB>-(O-CO-R<SP>1</SP>)<SB>3-n</SB>(wherein R is a monovalent hydrocarbon group or an alkoxy group, R<SP>1</SP>is hydrogen atom or a monovalent hydrocarbon group, and (n) is 0, 1, or 2).
