PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently crystalline an aromatic polycarbonate. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the crystalline polycarbonate comprises heating an aromatic polycarbonate having an intrinsic viscosity [η]of 0.05-0.38 and specified repeated units to a molten state and kneading and shearing the melt to crystalline under the conditions: (A) the treating temperature for crystallization is≥120°C and <220°C; (B) the ratio of the time for the kneading and shearing to the residence time within a crystallization apparatus is≥5% and <50%; and the peripheral speed (u) of a stirring mechanism of the apparatus is >0 m/s and <3 m/s, and the number of revolutions of the mechanism is >0 rpm and <30 rpm.
