The sensor has a housing comprising multiple housing parts (12,14), accommodating sensor components (16). The housing parts are joined in a moisture-tight manner. The inner space of the sensor may be filled with a filler or sealing compound. The parts may be welded together. An Independent claim is included for a method of manufacturing a sensor.
