STEREOSCOPIC DISPLAY

PURPOSE: A stereoscopic display is provided to increase the resolution of a stereoscopic image by driving left and right eye image with a time-division method. CONSTITUTION: A plane display(10) receives right and left eye image signals from an image generator(11) alternately to perform a time-division method of left and right eye images through plural pixels. An image divider(20) is provided on the front of the plane display(10), includes at least two micro shutters to divide an image of a pixel into time domain to obtain plural time zones, and receives an on/off signal of a specific micro shutter from a shutter controller(26) to drive the micro shutter. A vertical lenticular lens(30) is provided on the front of the image divider(20) and includes plural semi-circumference shape convex unit arranged along a short axis direction of a screen corresponding to each pixel. A main controller(50) synchronizes the image generator(11) and the shutter controller(26) to control the driving thereof.
