<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To actualize a highly reliable gas detector free from erroneous announcement. <P>SOLUTION: The way of outputting a signal from a signal processing part 13 to an announcing means 19 is changed so as to correspond to the time- varying state of an output signal of a gas detection part 6. When a signal is detected requiring a danger to be actually announced, an announcement is immediately made.
