<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photosensitive recording material which can be written with light, has excellent coloring property, is free of ground coloring, has high resolution, and ensures low energy consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The photosensitive recording material comprises microcapsules containing at least colored particles of two or more materials different from each other in color tone, wherein colored particles of at least one of the materials are charged particles, and a dispersion medium which is thickened or cured by light.
