<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat ray-shielding material which is produced by a simple method without using a complicated production method or a high-cost physical film formation method, has not only an excellent visible ray transparency but also high heat ray-shielding properties, and is excellent in strength such as impact resistance or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The heat ray-shielding resin sheet material is prepared by dispersing fine hexaboride particles like LaB<SB>6</SB>particles in a polycarbonate resin or an acrylic resin as the heat-ray shielding material, has a maximum transmittance in the visible ray region, and exhibits a strong absorption and hence a minimum transmittance in the near-infrared region.
