PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cationically photocurable epoxy resin composition which may be used as an adhesive showing high adhesion to glass, especially alkali glass, or metal. SOLUTION: The composition contains (a) an epoxy resin component containing an alicyclic epoxy resin and an epoxy resin having an aromatic ring, (b) a photocationic initiator component and (c) a filler chosen from the group consisting of an oxide, a hydroxide or a carbonate containing a group 2 element of the periodic table.
