PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a burner capable of suppressing combustion failure during large fire while suppressing extinction of flame during small fire. SOLUTION: In a burner cap 20, a portion sandwiched by first main flame holes 221 is formed with a communication part 23 caving to the internal diameter side. Thereby, the flame f of the adjacent first main flame holes 221 can combine with each other through the communication part 23 during the small fire of the burner. Each direction of the first flame holes 221 sandwiching the communication part 23 in the pair is inclined to the outside of the communication part 23 by a prescribed angleΔθwith respect to a normal line l<SB>1</SB>of the burner cap 20 in the first main flame hole 221.
