PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thrust bearing which can prevent breakage of a retainer by preventing occurrence of the stress concentration at a pocket. SOLUTION: The thrust bearing 10 has a body 16 in which the retainer 15 is formed into an approximately disk shape and a plurality of the pockets 21 which are penetrated in the thickness direction of the body 16, and are capable of storing each roller 14 individually. The opening shape of each pocket 21 corresponds to a projection shape viewed from the diametric direction of each roller 14, and also has a pair of straight line parts 22 along a bus bar of the roller 14. Arcuate parts 23 respectively contacting and connecting to each straight line 22 are provided at the ends on the center side of the body 16 in the pocket 21. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
