RESISTANCE REDUCTION DEVICE OF CORPULENT VESSEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce breaking wave resistance and resistance due to wave reflection even either of smooth-underwater and in waves. SOLUTION: A bow appendage 6 projected forward at an acute angle is directly mounted on the most frontal part of a point with a contracted plate shape positioned between a bow flare 3 and a bow value 5 of a hull 1 on a corpulent vessel. The bow appendage 6 is made triangular seen from a horizontal surface and rectangular seen from a side surface and made to be interposed in series along a vertical region including load water lines L.W.L of the hull 1. Breakage of the waves and reflection are prevented by pushing aside the waves 7 coming from the front and the waves made by the vessel itself left and right by the bow appendage 6.
