PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detecting method for tire pneumatic pressure drop which can determine simultaneous pressure reduction of front 2-wheel tires or simultaneous pressure reduction of rear 2-wheel tires. SOLUTION: This method for detecting tire pneumatic pressure drop is to detect a drop in inner pressure of a tire based on rotation information obtained from the tire attached to a vehicle, and comprises a process to detect the rotation information of each tire, a process to store the rotation information of each tire, a process to obtain a slip rate between the traveling tire and a road surface, a process to compare the slip rate with the slip rate at a normal inner pressure which is obtained in advance, and a process to determine simultaneous pressure reduction of the front 2-wheel tires or simultaneous pressure reduction of the rear 2-wheel tires based on the relation between a comparison value of the two slip rates and a predetermined threshold value.
