<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compression volume-reduction apparatus which can perform compression volume-reduction of relatively hard waste paper raw material such as drawing paper and a postal card to a prescribed shape and can pack up the material to the prescribed shape. <P>SOLUTION: In the compression volume-reduction apparatus for compressing and volume- reducing the waste paper raw material such as hard paper, a compressing device provided with a pressing plate which reciprocates in a first casing for compressing and volume-reducing the waste paper raw material and a housing chamber for housing the waste paper raw material are disposed above the cylindrical casing. An upper surface part of the pressing plate is set while concurrently serving as a lower surface of a discharging port of the housing chamber and the pressing plate is made to stand-by at a position where the waste paper raw material is held in a compressed state and the waste paper raw material is made to stay in the housing chamber. Further a set amount is detected by providing a quantitative measuring sensor above the housing chamber and indication of contraction action is given to the pressing plate and the waste paper raw material is carried and fed in the first casing and automatic compression operation is performed. Further a second casing is provided in a direction perpendicular to a compression direction in a compression chamber and a compressed body is moved and a packing device in which the compressed body is united by a binding belt, is provided. Further an elastic recovery presser of the compressed body is projectingly provided at a discharging end part of the second casing to unite the compressed body in a state where recovery is suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
