PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner which can restrict a temperature rise due to the heat from an electric blower in response to the discharge air quantity from the electric blower. SOLUTION: The discharge air from the electric blower 31 is circulated to a main body suction port 7 through a circulation air passage. A discharge air passage 63 for discharging the discharge air from the electric blower 31 outside is provided on a discharge side of the electric blower 31. A leak valve 64 for leaking when a 'strong' setting button of a manual operation unit of a hose body is turned on to increase the discharge air volume from the electric blower 31 is fitted to the discharge air passage 63. When the discharge air volume from the electric blower 31 is increased, the leak valve 64 leaks to discharge the discharge air form the electric blower 31 outside through the discharge air passage 63. A temperature rise due to the heat from the electric blower 31 can be restricted in response to change of the discharge air volume of the electric blower 31. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
