PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction port hood which lightens moving operation of a suction port hood body, and a vacuum cleaner. SOLUTION: The suction port hood includes: driving wheels 26 for helping movement of the suction port hood body 23; a motor 31 for driving the driving wheels 26; a detection roller 27 for detecting the moving direction of the suction port hood body 23; and a control means for driving and controlling the motor 31 on the basis of the detection of the detection roller 27. The control means controls the motor 31 so that the suction port hood body 23 moves forward, when the power of the vacuum cleaner body is turned on. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
