PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for fitting a rear board onto a picture frame by which the rear board is easily attached/detached to/from the frame of the picture frame, and which has a simple structure suitable for the thin frame. SOLUTION: An L shape projecting piece with a distal end directed inward onto the rear board is projectingly arranged on the rear surface of the frame in the picture frame, and the fitting tool is inserted to the inward bending piece of the L shape projecting piece so as to elastically press the rear board. An elastically deformable leaf spring part is projected at the rear end of a U shape pinching part to be inserted to the L shape projecting piece. A leg for pressing the rear board is arranged at the rear end of the leaf spring part. A check pawl to be caught at the outer bending edge of the L shape projecting piece is projected at the distal end of an upper insertion piece constituting the pinching part. Low sideward slopes are formed at the both sides of the check pawl, and a guide opening for the slopes opening in U shape is formed at the distal end of a lower insertion piece. A depth end surface at the inner side of the U shape in the pinching part, and the distal end edge of the lower insertion piece are respectively formed on a forward projecting curved surface.
