The spool carries a central compound land 14 within the confines of which two separate recesses are formed, the sleeve closing the open sides of the recesses to so define two separate chambers 28. The land 14 also has formed therein two L-shaped passages each of which communicates with an annular recess 25 of the spool and with one of the orifices 27. Fluid from the valve inlet 24 passes to an annular sleeve channel 53 and thence to the spool creess 25 via a radial sleeve passage 57. Fluid emitted from the orifices 27 passes out through one or more radial sleeve passages 32 into an annular collecting channel 33 wherefrom it is withdrawn through a passage 34. |
