PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audibility examination device with which the disconnection confirmation work for a receiver connecting cable can easily and accurately be done. SOLUTION: The audibility examination device which has one air conductive receiver 1 which a subject to puts thereon and an audiometer body 2 connected with the receiver connecting cable 3 detachably with respect to both, is provided with a disconnection judgment means 4 in the audiometer body 2 for judging a continuity condition of the receiver connecting cable 3. The disconnection judgment means 4 is equipped with a resistance value measurement circuit 14 for measuring a resistance value of the receiver connecting cable 3, a judgment circuit 15 for judging the continuity condition of the receiver connecting cable 3 from output signals of the resistance value measurement circuit 14, and a display unit 16 for displaying a judgment result by the judgment circuit 15. The continuity condition of the receiver connecting cable 3 is judged by connecting a receiver side connector 5 of the receiver connecting cable 3 to a measuring connector 9 provided in the audiometer body 2.
