PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a detergent foam from overflowing from a washing-cum- dehydrating tub by changing a discharging time for the detergent foam according to the amount of laundry in the washing-cum-dehydrating tub for a washing machine which efficiently remove contamination by the action of the detergent foam. SOLUTION: An agitating blade 2 is freely rotatably provided on the internal bottom part of the washing-cum-dehydrating tub 3 which is freely rotatably provided in an external tub 1. The washing-cum-dehydrating tub 3 and the agitating blade 2 are driven by a motor 6, and the motion of the motor 6 or the like is controlled by a controlling means, and the process is controlled. The controlling means has a process wherein the detergent foam is poured from the upper side into the washing-cum-dehydrating tub 3, and can change the discharging time of the detergent foam according to the output of a laundry amount-detecting means which detects the amount of laundry in the washing- cum-dehydrating tub 3.
