PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop mold oil with which the problem that vegetable oil has been use as mold oil and poured into the space between a mold and dissolved iron and served as a casting release agent when steel is produced in the steel industry, however its performance has not been sufficient, then sticking of slag to the mold on continuous steel making, and unsmooth mold release has occurred to reduce the productivity, is solved and the productive efficiency is improved. SOLUTION: High purity anhydrous silica excellent in the heat resistance, fluidity, peeling properties, solidification preventing effect and the like is mixed into vegetable oils or mineral oils, so that the problem is improved.
