PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric pot capable of performing heat-retention at a hot water temperature as high as possible while avoiding re-boiling in the reconnection of a power supply cord after disconnection. SOLUTION: This electric pot has a temperature sensor for detecting the temperature of a liquid contained in an inner container and a control part for executing water heating control and warming control for controlling the current-carrying to a heater based on the detected temperature by the temperature sensor. The control part checks the detected temperature by the temperature sensor in an initial processing after reset, and performs the heat-retention control, when the detected temperature is a prescribed temperature (98.5°C) close to a boiling temperature or higher, at a temperature obtained by subtracting a prescribed differential temperature (1.5°C) from the detected temperature. When the detected temperature is lower than the prescribed temperature, the control part checks the detected temperature in boiling after performing the water heating control, and performs the heat-retention control at a temperature obtained by subtracting a differential temperature (2.5°C) larger than the above differential temperature from the detected temperature in boiling.
