PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an operation for positioning the imaging section of a subject easy. SOLUTION: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes a static magnetic field generating means 12, a gradient magnetic field generating means 14, a high frequency magnetic field pulse generating means 16, a signal detecting means 18, a signal processing means 20, a storage means 36, a display means 22, an input means 34, and a control means 24 performing imaging sequences to acquire images of the subject by controlling each means. The control means 24 downloads dynamic signals of an image region, allocates a plurality of appropriate, periodic time phases to the dynamic signals, and performs the imaging sequences while corresponding to each time phase, and the control means 24 also makes the storage means 36 store the images while relating the images to the time phase information, reads out the images corresponding to a specific time phase input by the input means 34, and makes the display means 22 display them.
