PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the hardening of boiled rice in small quantity cooking of a rice cooking menu such as polished rice or quick cooking. SOLUTION: This rice cooker has two boiling end detection temperatures of a first boiling end detection temperature for determining that a boiling process is near to end and a second boiling end detection temperature for determining that the boiling process is finally ended. When a rice cooking quantity determination means determines that the rice cooking quantity in an inner pot is a small quantity cooking quantity of a prescribed rice cooking quantity or less, a rice cooking control means determines that the boiling process is near to end, when an inner pan temperature detecting means detects a temperature of the first boiling end detection temperature or higher, and increases the heating quantity of a heating means. The control means further turns the heating means OFF, when the inner pan temperature detecting means detects a temperature of the second boiling end detection temperature or higher, to finally transfer the process to a steaming process. Accordingly, in the end stage of the boiling process, the heating temperature of the inner pan bottom part is effectively raised to satisfactorily transfer the heat also to the bottom of a small quantity of boiled rice in the inner part so as not to harden it.
