PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cyclone type dust collecting device for storing a large quantity of dust in a dust storage space, and to provide a vacuum cleaner with the same. SOLUTION: A nearly cylindrical filter holder is concentrically provided in a nearly cylindrical dust box main body to form a nearly cylindrical cyclone space between the inner surface of the peripheral wall of the dust box and the outer peripheral surface of the filter holder. A nearly cylindrical dust storage space is formed under the cyclone space, and furthermore, an interrupting means for interrupting turn of the dust in the dust storage space is provided.
