<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a catalytic deodorizing device compact by reducing the length of a thermal decomposition chamber thereof so as to be shorter than the transfer distance of odorous gas to pass the thermal decomposition chamber. <P>SOLUTION: A thermal decomposition chamber is formed of cylinders 4, 6 into which shaft members 11 having screw flights 12 are inserted.
