The support (8) comprises a support bearing mounted on the cardan shaft and resting inside a holder (9) secured to the vehicle chassis. Upper and lower clips (11, 12) extend around the bearing in its peripheral direction, one of the clips being secured to the vehicle chassis. The lower clip supports the underside of the bearing and can be mounted in different angular positions relative to an axis extending transverse to the chassis length direction in order to adapt it to the orientation of the cardan shaft. The upper clip fixes the bearing against the lower clip.
