PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seedling tray feeding apparatus to surely and accurately feed a seedling tray to be supplied and surely and accurately take the seedling from the seedling tray. SOLUTION: A seedling tray T holding a number of pots P arranged in a lattice pattern is placed on a seedling table 36, seedlings S are taken out of the pots P of one lateral row of the seedling tray T, the seedling tray T is longitudinally transferred by one row by inserting an engaging part 51 of a longitudinal feed chain 50 between the pots P, and the following seedling tray T is placed on the seedling table 36 following the seedling tray T in the seedling taking mode. The seedling table 36 is provided with a pot space widening means 70 to increase the pot-to-pot distance at the insertion position of the engaging part 51 by bending and lifting the front side of the chain based on the insertion position of the engaging part 51 when the engaging part 51 of the longitudinal feed chain 50 is inserted between the pots P and a superposing mechanism 71 to superpose the rear end of the preceding seedling tray T on the front end of the following seedling tray T.
