PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transplanter enabling the planting of seedlings in proper posture without tilting the seedling forward even by increasing the planting speed of a planting finger. SOLUTION: The sulky transplanter is provided with a planting finger 12 to rake a seedling from the lower end of a seedling table 7, hold the seedling with the finger and plant the held seedling (m) on a field. A plate seedling guide 17 is formed along the orbit of the planting motion of the finger 12 at side view in front of the planting motion orbit of the finger 12. The seedling guide 17 restricts the falling of the seedling (m) held by the finger 12 and keeps the seedling in proper posture even by the application of centrifugal force to fall the held seedling (m) forward.
