PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shelf receiving tool capable of preventing a shelf board from falling as the result of coming out of the shelf receiving tool from a rail even when occurrence of an earthquake by receiving pressure downward applied by a shelf board, a book placed on the shelf board, etc., with a hook part in the state of being engaged with the rail and receiving pressure upward applied in occurrence of the earthquake is received by an engaged member engaged with the opening hole of the rail so as to be secured to the rail. SOLUTION: On a vertical board surface part of the shelf receiving tool main body comprising the hook part engaged with the opening hole bored at the right and left inner walls of a book shelf, etc., a vertical board surface part along the inner wall and a shelf receiving part provided projecting to a lateral side from the lower part of the vertical plate surface part, an engaging member holding elastic force for preventing shaking and pulling out of the shelf receiving body by plunging into an opening hole engaging the hook part or an opening at its lower stage is provided.
