PURPOSE: To maintain the form of a folded air bag stably, and unfold the air bag smoothly. CONSTITUTION: An inflator is installed to a base plate 21, and an air bag 24 is installed by covering the inflator. The air bag 24 is folded to oppose its folded ends 24c and 24c each other at the center. The folded air bag 24 is covered with a wrapping member 31 so as to maintain its form. The air bag 24 covered with the wrapping member 31 is covered with a cover body. On the wrapping member 31, a tear line 31c is formed along the folded ends 24c and 24c. When the air bag 24 is expanded and unfolded, the tear line 31c is broken instantly. |
