PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a process and to reduce cost compared with use of amorphous silicon or polycrystal silicon in a non-linear element by constituting a non-linear element with an organic compound layer in a light emitting diode device constituted by arranging a light emitting diode and the linear element on a substrate. SOLUTION: A diode part 1 is a diode utilizing an energy barrier between electrode layers 101, 106 and an organic positive hole transport layer 102, and copper phthalocyanine of a polypherin family compound having good film forming capability is used in an organic positive hole transport material to decrease resistance in an organic layer. A non-luminescent diode art 1 decreases the occupied area in a pixel, and ensures the area of a luminescent part 4 as large as possible. Since the diode part 1 instantaneously passes high current compared with the luminescent part 4, high allowable current density is necessary. Therefore, low resistance of the organic layer, sharp standing diode characteristics, and high heat-resistance are preferable. An organic positive hole transport layer 403 of the organic light emitting diode in a luminescent part 4 is made of aromatic diamine, is made in low heat resistance having a glass transition point of at about 70 deg.C, and luminous efficiency is enhanced. |
