The invention discloses a blood withdrawal system for withdrawing blood f or diagnostic purposes. The lancing device comprises a drive mechanism which ensures a pain-reduc ed lancing process for the patient. The drive mechanism is characterized by a robust and simple construction. By means of a trigger mechanism, the lancet is driven b y converting a linear movement of a trigger unit into a rotary movement which initiates the lancing process. This allows a simple handling for the patient . |
