PURPOSE: A system for learning words using a short message service is provided to rapidly transfer the meaning of a word, transmitted through a short message, to a questioner using a database. CONSTITUTION: A questioner transmits a word to a service provider using the short message service of his portable phone(1). The service provider receives the questioned word through a short message receiving server(2) and sends the information to a word deciphering unit(3). The word deciphering unit(3) recognizes the text data, searches a word database(4), and sends the meaning of the questioned word to a short message transmitting server(5). The short message transmitting server(5) transmits the meaning of the questioned word to the questioner's portable phone(1) through a short message. |
