PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for controlling display color temperature using color temperature meta data are provided to reduce the cost of a display device of a client by removing the necessity of calculating color temperature. CONSTITUTION: A color temperature calculating unit(110) receives a predetermined image and calculates color temperature of the image. A meta data generating unit(120) classifies a color temperature range into a plurality of sections, and generates information related to sections which color temperature of the image belongs to as meta data. A meta data base(130) stores the meta data and transmits the corresponding meta data with the image to a client terminal.
