PURPOSE: An apparatus for correcting an image is provided to improve the quality of a picture while sharply reducing amount of hardware necessary for adjusting colors of the image. CONSTITUTION: A three-dimensional look-up table(501) stores three-dimensional converted data corresponding to upper n bits of an inputted image. A color interpolation unit(503) executes linear interpolation with the three-dimensional converted data output from the three-dimensional look-up table and three-dimensional data corresponding to lower m bits of the inputted image, so that the color interpolation unit outputs color converted image.
