<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a boarding procedure at an airport check-in counter, a baggage check-in procedure, and a baggage reception procedure at an arrival airport, in an integrated and non-contact fashion. <P>SOLUTION: The airport control system using IC cards and IC baggage tags includes: (1) a server which stores boarding reservation information or the like and ID information transmitted from reader-writers RW and collates the ID information; (2) a reader-writer RW at the baggage check-in counter of the departure airport for writing the ID information on the IC card and the IC baggage tag and sending the ID information to the server; (3) a reader- writer RW for reading the ID information of the IC baggage tag and sending it to the server to collate it with the ID information of the server, at a working area where baggage is loaded into an aircraft cargo compartment; (4) a reader- writer RW for reading the ID information of the IC card and sending it to the server to collate it with the ID information of the server, at an aircraft boarding gate; and (5) a reader-writer RW provided at the baggage claim counter of the arrival airport for reading the ID information of the IC card and the ID information of the IC baggage tag and sending these pieces of ID information to the server for collation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
