PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile server, that retransmits image data received by one communication means by another communication means and notifies the originator of the image data of information of the retransmission result, which notifies the originator of information having more detailed contents, in addition to the result information indicating whether the retransmission has been executed normally. SOLUTION: The facsimile server 1 is provided with a means for storing reception history information 22 of the received image data 21, a means for retransmitting the data 21 to another destination, means for storing history information 23 of the retransmitted image data, means for generating communication history information 24 including the information 22, 23, and means for transmitting the generated information 24 to the originator of the information 21.
