PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent magnetic particles in a magnetic brush from adhering to a body to be electrified even in the case of electrifying the body to be electrified by using an electrifying means having the magnetic brush. SOLUTION: A 1st magnetic brush electrifier 30 is disposed on an upstream side and a 2nd magnetic brush electrifier 31 is disposed on a downstream side from the electrifier 30 in the rotating direction of a photoreceptor drum (direction shown by an arrow in figure 4). The width of contact that the magnetic brush of the electrifier 30 comes into contact with the photoreceptor drum is made larger than the width of contact that the magnetic brush of the electrifier 31 comes into contact with the photoreceptor drum. Thus, a part on the photoreceptor drum corresponding to the end of the contact part of the magnetic brush of the electrifier 31 is previously electrified, so that the adhesion of the magnetic particles is restrained.
