<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relay device using maintenance signals for the timer operation of an appliance, or a remote controller system including the relay device. <P>SOLUTION: The relay device 80 is inserted into the gap between the appliance 20 and a remote controller 70.
