PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image compositing technology of high convenience. SOLUTION: Upon layers A, B, and C which are mixed in accordance with predetermined mixing coefficients in a compositing section 36, the layers B and C which are sub-images are first mixed in a first compositing section 200. Hereupon, mixing coefficients by which the pixel values of the layer A are multiplied are previously calculated. Results of the calculation are subjected to a predetermined conversion processing in a conversion section 210 and are once stored in a frame memory 212. When the layer A is obtained, values required for the calculation are read from the frame memory 212, and the layer A is composited in a second compositing section 202.
